The 2025 BMW M 1000 RR is the most extreme road-legal superbike BMW Motorrad has built. It is the first motorcycle to carry BMW's "M" badge, and it exists mainly to homologate BMW's World Superbike racer. In practice it's a race bike with number-plate holders, built for riders who want track performance without compromise. At its heart is a 999 cc inline-four engine with BMW's ShiftCam technology. For 2025 the engine was reworked with titanium valves, revised ports, higher compression and bigger 52 mm throttle bodies. It produces 218 hp at 14,500 rpm, pulls hard all the way to the redline and reaches a top speed of about 314 km/h. A titanium exhaust saves weight and gives the bike a sharp, aggressive sound.
